Obituary

Our beloved mother, Amy Jane Votraw, passed away on March 8, 2026, at Meadowbrook Healthcare. She was born on November 6, 1927, to the late Fred and Mary Bombard. Amy married Paul Votraw June 30, 1952.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Marsha (Michael) Buskey, James (Kathy) Votraw, Elaine Votraw (Mary Cable), Jean (Timothy) Mousseau, Fred (Beth) Votraw, Constance (Patrick) Sullivan; ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; her remaining brother James (Gale) Bombard; sister-in-law Jean Bombard. She was predeceased by her husband and four brothers.

Amy was involved in many community activities; AFFD Women's Auxiliary, Catholic Daughters of America, Parish Council and Bible Study.

Amy was a social butterfly and loved walking, talking and socializing with her friends. Above all else she cherished her Catholic religion, attending mass and practicing her faith praying the rosary daily. Amy loved being the matriarch of the family and planned holiday celebrations. One of her favorite sayings was "Sleep well and wake up happy in the morning", those of us who loved her dearly hope she is sleeping well.

We would like to thank her friends and the staff at Meadowbrook for their care.

Visitation will held March 21, 2026, at Holy Name Church at 10:00 am followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at the parish cemetery.

Services were entrusted to Heidrick-Zaumetzer Funeral Home, PO Box 127, 3 College St., Au Sable Forks, NY 12912.
