Bernard Furnia, Sr.

Bernard Furnia, Sr., 79, passed away on October 13, 2022.

He was an avid outdoorsman who was passionate about hunting and fishing; and he was also know for being and amazing athlete with the ability to run very fast! He loved to bowl and play baseball and softball. Everyone who knew him knew that he was a die-hard Yankees fan and mentioning other teams wasn't advised. He also worked at the Grand Union as Produce Manager for many years.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda (Bola) Furnia; three children Julie (Patrick) Parrow, Bernard Furnia, Jr., and Michael (Jessie) Furnia; four grandchildren, Kayla Furnia, Jason Parrow, Andrew Parrow, and Cecelia Furnia; and, six great-grandchildren, Brynn, Brady, Brooklyn, Blake, Charleigh, and Carter.

Visitation will be Monday, October 17, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Heidrick-Zaumetzer Funeral Home, 3 College St., Au Sable Forks, NY.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Name Church in Au Sable Forks with interment to follow at Holy Name Cemetery.
