Doreen Trumbull, 74, of Au Sable Forks, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2026, at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on May 2, 1951, she was the daughter of William MacDonough and Doris Giroux. Doreen was united in marriage to her beloved husband, Bernard Trumbull, with whom she shared many years of love and companionship.

Doreen had a remarkable gift for making others feel remembered and appreciated. She devoted countless hours to writing and sending cards for birthdays, holidays, and simple notes of gratitude-thoughtful gestures that left a lasting impression on all who received them.

She found joy in baking desserts and trying her luck with lottery scratch-off tickets, often celebrating her frequent wins. Her love of nature was evident in her fondness for hummingbirds, flowers, and the many hanging plants she lovingly cared for.

She was predeceased by her parents; her siblings, David and Kathy; her parents-in-law, Robert and Esther Trumbull; and her siblings-in-law, Barbara MacDonough, Robert Jr., Margaret Trumbull, and Brian Trumbull.

Doreen is survived by her devoted husband, Bernard; her children, Lance Decker (Jessica), Cathy Sample-Decker (partner P.J.), and Ryan Trumbull (Kara); her cherished grandchildren, Samantha, Aaron, Cody, Alexis, Avery, and Aiden; her great-grandchildren, Maddisyn, Ian, and Damian, with twins expected; her siblings, Wally and Bill (Lynn); and several nieces and nephews.

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no formal funeral services.

A Celebration of Life will be held on May 23, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Elks Club in Keeseville, New York.
