Dorothea Lincoln
February 23, 1943 — February 2, 2020
Dorothea Lincoln, 76, formerly of Jay and recently of Elderwood of Uihlein at Lake Placid, passed away Sunday, February 2, 2020.
Born in Germany on February 23, 1943, she was the daughter of Melchior and Johanne Liebig.
Dorothea was a nurse at Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake until her retirement.
In 1984 she married Robert Lincoln Sr. of Jay, NY. Robert passed away in 2012.
After retiring Dorothea enjoyed spending time with her dogs, camping, knitting, crocheting and crossword puzzles.
Survivors include her brother Josef Liebig and family and sister Margaret Ruck and family of Germany, granddaughter Amanda Girad and nephew Christian Liebig. Step-children, Debby (Mike) Straight, Sherry (Bryan) Walton, Robbie (Lisa) Lincoln, Patty (Mark) VonDell, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by a daughter, Mary Girad.
There will be no calling hours.
Arrangements are in the care of Thwaits-Zaumetzer Funeral Home.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family in the Spring.
