Dorothy Rosamond Trombley, 92, of Black Brook, passed away at her home on September 22, 2026.

She was born on December 8, 1933, in Moriah Center, the daughter of Ernest Hebert and Julia (Hoffman) Hebert. On December 19, 1953, she married Raymond Dominick Trombley at St. Matthew's Church in Black Brook, and together they raised a large and loving family.

Dorothy was happiest outdoors. She loved tending her gardens, caring for her chickens and her cats, and simply sitting in the sun. She was a wonderful cook, and her kitchen was a place where family was always welcome. Music was one of the great joys of her life. Dorothy loved to sing and play the guitar, and old country music was always her favorite. She shared that gift with the parish at St. Matthew's Church for many years, playing both the organ and the guitar at services.

She is survived by her children, Raymond D. Trombley (Vickie Brenner), Glenn E. (Mary Anne) Trombley, Marvin Trombley, Faith (Rick) Boyd, Tina (Pete) Benway, and Harold (Marjorie) Trombley; 9 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, Raymond Dominick Trombley; her son, David A. Trombley; her parents; and her siblings, Ernest, Julia, and Angie.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 2, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Name Church in Au Sable Forks with burial to follow in St. Matthew's Cemetery in Black Brook.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Name Church or a charity of your choice.
