Elly Deyoe

January 29, 1936 — June 25, 2025

Eleanor "Elly" Alice Deyoe, born to Victor Seguin and Esther Fountain on January 29, 1936, in Black Brook, NY, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2025, at the age of 89 surrounded by her loving family. She leaves behind a rich legacy of love, compassion, and the cherished memories of her family. Eleanor dedicated her life to nurturing her seven sons while also working as a teller for many years at Keeseville National Bank, National Commercial Bank, and Key Bank. She balanced her professional endeavors with her roles at Au Sable Hardware and ANCO Heating, but her greatest joy came from being a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Elly was a woman of many passions. She loved to line dance and she enjoyed working in her yard. Traveling and visiting casinos added excitement to her life, as she loved new experiences. Elly found joy in coloring and working on puzzles, activities that reflected her creativity and her thoughtful nature.

Preceding her in death are her parents and her siblings Anna Murray, Melvin Seguin, Howard Seguin, and Ronnie Seguin.

Elly is survived by her loving husband of 71 years Charles Deyoe, and her sons: Gregory (Lynne) Deyoe, Daniel (Jana) Deyoe, Randy (Mary) Deyoe, Bryan (Lori) Deyoe, Alan (Eva) Deyoe, Charles (Suzanne) Deyoe, and Todd (Marchita) Deyoe. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren: Anthony Deyoe, Amanda Fifield, Allison Just, Kristen Songer, Adam Deyoe, Randall Deyoe, Kenny Deyoe, Savannah Tran, Paul Deyoe, Mark Deyoe, Victor Deyoe, Matt Deyoe, and Bradley Deyoe; and seven great-grandchildren, Claire Just, Grace Just, Nicholas Deyoe, Cameron Deyoe, Owen Deyoe, Miles Deyoe, and Caleb Deyoe.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 from 4:00 to 6:00 at Heidrick-Zaumetzer Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Name Church on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow at Holy Name Cemetery.
