Gerald Melvin Katz passed away on September 15, 2023, at the age of 95 in Willsboro, NY. He was born on August 16, 1928, in Bronx, NY, and was the son of the late Samuel and Rebecca Katz.
Gerald was a remarkable individual who dedicated his life to his passion for construction as a civil engineer. Armed with his Bachelor's Degree, he embarked on a career that spanned over five decades and made significant contributions to the industry. His attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to excellence earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues and clients.
In addition to his professional achievements, Gerald was a proud United States Army veteran, having served his country with honor and dedication. His military experience instilled in him a sense of discipline, integrity, and loyalty that he carried throughout his life.
Outside of his work and military service, Gerald was a devoted husband to his late wife, Mary Lou. Their love story was one for the ages, filled with cherished memories and shared adventures. He will be missed by his nieces, nephews, and close friends.
Mr. Katz will be deeply missed but never forgotten. His kindness, charisma, and enduring spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to have known him. As we say goodbye, let us remember the memories we shared and hold onto the lessons he taught us.
