Herbert Reynolds

Wilmington, NY - Herbert "Herb" Joseph Reynolds, 58, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on December 20, 2023, at CVPH in Plattsburgh. Born on May 2, 1965, in Lake Placid, NY, Herbert was the beloved son of Richard Reynolds, Sr. and Patricia Reynolds Weckesser.

Herb was a talented cook who found joy in creating delicious meals for his family and friends. Whether it was whipping up a hearty breakfast or grilling a mouthwatering steak, Herb's culinary skills brought people together and left lasting memories.

Beyond the kitchen, Herb had a deep passion for hunting. He loved spending time in the great outdoors, connecting with nature, and honing his skills as a hunter. Formerly working at Whiteface for several years, Herb showcased his dedication and expertise in the hospitality industry.

Herb's caring nature extended beyond his profession, as he served as a former member of the Au Sable Forks EMS. His commitment to helping others in their time of need was admirable and touched the lives of many in the community.

In his leisure time, Herb enjoyed traveling to Florida and North Carolina, seeking relaxation and new experiences. These trips allowed him to embrace the beauty of different landscapes and create cherished memories with his loved ones.

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Reynolds, Sr.

Herb will be deeply missed by the love of his life, Ashley Barber; his children: Edward Reynolds, Miranda (James) Lacey, Krissie (C.J.) Lotierzo, and Natasha Reynolds; his brothers: Randy (Sue) Reynolds, Jr., Edward "Chip" (Karen) Reynolds, Kevin (Bonnie) Reynolds, and Walter (Kathleen) Rizzie; his sisters: Helen (Mark) Paul and Rebecca (Al) Mason; his special grandson, Anthony; and several other cherished grandchildren; his mother, Patricia Reynolds Weckesser; step-children Kaylee Hagey and Paul Hagey; as well as his aunt, Diane Bouyea; and numerous nieces and nephews.

To honor Herb's life, visitation and a prayer service will be held on December 29, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Heidrick-Zaumetzer Funeral Home, 3 College St., Au Sable Forks, NY. Interment will take place in the spring at the North Elba Cemetery in Lake Placid.
