June Marie Pulsifer, beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2023, at the age of 71. She was born on June 24, 1952, in Burlington, VT, to the late parents Clarence and Gertrude Hance.
June dedicated her life to helping others and she worked for the Essex County Child Protective Services. With great compassion and determination, she worked tirelessly to protect and support children in need. Her commitment to her profession was evident in the positive impact she made on numerous families throughout her career.
Outside of work, June cherished spending time with her family. She married the love of her life, William Pulsifer, on June 28, 1969, in Au Sable Forks, and together they raised three children, Michelle, Lisa, and Scott. June treasured every moment with her family and created countless memories playing board games and cards with them, hobbies she held dear to her heart. June also found immense joy and love with the companionship of her fur baby, Little Bit, the two were inseparable.
In her leisure time, June enjoyed venturing to Atlantic City and Wells, Maine, with her close friends. She had a love of playing slots and bingo and, more than anything, appreciated the joy of being surrounded by loved ones.
June had a vibrant spirit and diverse interests. She delighted in shopping, curling up with a captivating documentary or romantic novel, and indulged in her creative side through knitting and crocheting. Her talents were admired by all who received one of her handmade creations.
June was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William, and her cherished daughter, Lisa. She also joins her brothers, Harold, Larry, and David, her mother-in-law and father-in-law, sister-in-law Diane, and brothers-in-law Tom, Carl, and Art.
She leaves behind a legacy that will be carried on through her surviving family. June is survived by her children, Michelle (Boyce) Rawson, Jr. and Scott Pulsifer, and his loving partner Victoria Murray; and her beloved fur baby Little Bit. She will be forever remembered in the hearts of her grandchildren, Brittany Crowningshield, Dustin Crowningshield, Boyce Rawson III, Chad Cumm, Jacob Cumm, Renee Cumm, Phoebe Pulsifer, and Peyton Murray.
June's siblings, Sherry (Steve) Sandberg, Starr (Tim) Gay, Joyce Hance, Connie Hance, Geneva Crandall, Donna (George) Landon, Karen Pulsifer, Bob (Wanda) Pulsifer, John (Sandy) Pulsifer, and Jerry (Cindy) Pulsifer, will continue to cherish the memories they shared together.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Services were entrusted to Heidrick-Zaumetzer Funeral Home, Au Sable Forks, NY.
