Kathryn M. O'Neill, 88, of Jay, NY, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2026, at Meadowbrook Healthcare in Plattsburgh. Kay was a beloved member of her community, known for her warmth, kindness, and dedication to her family and friends.

Kay married the love of her life, Thomas A. O'Neill, on June 1, 1957, at Holy Name Church in Au Sable Forks. Together, they shared 62 wonderful years of marriage, building a loving home and raising three sons: Mike of Pembroke Pines, FL; Tommy (Shelley) of Jay, NY; and Sean of Lake Placid, NY.

She was the proud grandmother of five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Kay cherished every moment spent with her family.

Kay served many years at Au Sable Valley Central School, where she was actively involved with the booster club. She was a longstanding member of the American Legion Post 504, where she brought her creative touch to decorating for special occasions.

She enjoyed gardening and mowing the lawn, keeping her home beautiful and welcoming. She loved connecting with friends on Facebook, sharing stories and laughter. Kay also found joy in gambling, cheering on her favorite teams-the NY Giants and LA Dodgers-with excitement.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 2020.

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Name Cemetery.
