Larry Douglas Dadds passed away on August 24, 2026, after a lengthy illness. He was born on February 15, 1956, in Baltimore, MD, to his parents, Violet Mason Dadds and William Raymond Dadds.

When he was younger, his high school friends referred to him as a hard-working, nice guy who was full of laughter, fun, and great at science. Larry talked about his lacrosse days and enjoyed other sports and hobbies in his many years, like Duck Pin Bowling and Tae Kwon Do, where he achieved a black belt. He enjoyed going fishing and loved watching football, especially his favorite team, the Baltimore Ravens. He loved them so much he always flew the Ravens' flag in his yard. The container garden on his porch was more than a hobby; he truly enjoyed tending the plants. He also loved to read and listen to a variety of music on his porch when it was nice out, or anytime he could.

He worked for many years at Xerox, and after he retired, he played online fantasy football and other games with his son Justin. He had a great respect for the military and probably wished that he had served. Larry was very proud that he had two sons and a brother who were and are in the military. He often spoke of a time when he got to see the USS ESTOCIN FFG-15 and got a tour from his brother for him and his two young sons. He often spoke of that time, and he showed his pride by flying the U.S. flag daily at his house.

Larry is predeceased by his grandmother Juanita Thomas, his father William (Ray) Dadds, brother William R. Dadds Jr., grandson Gavin, grandmother Eliza Mason, grandfathers Arnold Dadds, Joe Thomas, Vincent Mason Sr., as well as aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Larry is survived by his three sons, Larry Jr., Brian, and Justin, and his wife Megan; three grandchildren; his mother, Violet Irwin; his brothers William (Bill) Dadds and his wife Diane, Robert (Bob) Dadds, sister Deanna (Dee) Dadds Murray and her husband Jim Murray, as well as aunts, uncles, and cousins.

In Lieu of flowers, donations would be greatly appreciated to the Alzheimer's Association www.alz.org or plant a tree in his name if you wish.

A Graveside Service will be at Haselton Cemetery in Wilmington on September 9th, 2026, at 2:00 pm. A gathering at the Twisted Raven in Wilmington will follow the service.
