Maryanne Turnbull

Maryanne C. Foster Turnbull, 64, of Black Brook, NY, passed away unexpectedly at her home on February 28, 2021.

Born in West Orange, NJ, she was the daughter of Donald and Nettie Anne Aker.

Maryanne worked for Continental Insurance as a Regional Office Services Coordinator for 11 years, and at Twin Oaks as a Drug and Alcohol Counselor/Program Supervisor for over 23 years. She retired from NYSDOCCS in 2019.

In 2004, after many years together, she finally married the love of her life and together they raised two children.

She loved her summers at Silver Lake, and her camp family. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother; her grandchildren were her world.

Maryanne was pre-deceased by her husband, Jody Turnbull; and, her mother, Nettie Anne Aker.

Left to cherish her memory are her father, Donald Aker of NJ; two children, Christopher (Danielle) Turnbull and Carry (Fred) Drake, all of Black Brook; stepson, Jody (Molly) Turnbull of Alabama; four grandchildren, Rylee and Liam Turnbull, Carter Drake, and Alice Turnbull; three brothers, William (Roseann) Aker of NJ, Fred (Jean) Aker of NJ, Cliff (Karel) Aker of VT; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling Hours will be Friday, March 5, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Zaumetzer Funeral Home, Au Sable Forks.
