Patricia "Pat" Agnes Brousseau, 84, of Plattsburgh, N.Y., passed away peacefully on December 24th, 2023, surrounded by her family. Pat was born in Au Sable Forks on October 29th, 1939, the daughter of Joseph and Katheryn (Nolan) Laundry.
Pat was a selfless woman who devoted her life to her family and her faith. Being a devout Catholic, she attended St. Matthew's Church in Black Brook for many years and enjoyed reading spiritual books as well as praying the rosary daily. She spent several years working at Hawkeye Lodge, Pinegrove, and Hi-Falls Lounge. Pat enjoyed listening to country music, dancing, completing crossword and sudoku puzzles, and watching TV shows. She enjoyed cooking and baking for others; especially Christmas cookies and candies, which she was infamous for. Pat's unconditional love for her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all those around her will never be forgotten.
Pat was predeceased by her husband of 64 years James Brousseau; her parents; half-sister Shirley Bushey; brothers-in-law Edgar (Erma) and Edward (Frances) (Gladys) Brousseau, brother-in-law Bill LaFountain, sister-in-law Martha Laundry, daughter-in-law Anne Brousseau, and father and mother-in-law Phillip and Rena Brousseau.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Kathy Atkinson (Randy), Jon Brousseau, Steve Brousseau (Lisa), and Dave Brousseau (Tammy); grandchildren, Megan (Justin), Nikki (Chad), Dustin, Amanda (Pete), Heather (Austin), Colleen (Nick), Katelyn, and Andrew; great-grandchildren, Sophia, Ethan, Caleb, Emelia, Skylar, Carson, Raelynn, Landon and Loghan; brothers, Joe and Richard (Kathy); sisters-in-law, Ann LaFountain and Eva (Vernon) Seguin; and brother-in-law Tommy Brousseau. Pat is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Clement Rimonds at Holy Name Church in Au Sable Forks on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. with burial to take place in the spring at Holy Name Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Saint Jude's Children's Hospital.
Services were entrusted to Heidrick-Zaumetzer Funeral Home, Au Sable Forks.
