Patricia Rose Stone, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2024, at the age of 90. Born on February 10, 1933, in Plattsburgh, NY to Edward Brown and Irene Paro, Patricia lived a life filled with love, joy, and a deep appreciation for the simple pleasures that brought her happiness.

Patricia was a resilient and vibrant soul, known for her feisty spirit, her contagious laughter, and her beaming smile. She approached life with boundless energy and an unwavering determination, living each day to the fullest. The game of bingo catered to her competitive spirit and joy of socializing with friends. Patricia's zest for life brightened the lives of all who knew her and created treasured memories that will be cherished forever.

Patricia worked as an apple packer for Forrence Orchards for many years. Her dedication and hard work earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues. Patricia took pride in her role, knowing that she played a part in bringing the fruits of the harvest to families' tables, both near and far.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Fred Liberty; her second husband, Herman Stone; her daughter Allyson Liberty-Nelson; son-in-law David Hislop; grandsons Corrie Liberty and Alan Liberty, Jr.; and two brothers and two sisters.

Family meant the world to Patricia, and she loved nothing more than spending time with her loved ones. She leaves behind a legacy of love, as she was a devoted mother to her children, Alan (Nancy) Liberty, Candace Hislop, Star (Gordon) Benjamin, Terry (Robin) Liberty, and Cynthia Jo (Rick) McKee; and son-in-law Russ Nelson. She also leaves behind a sister, Sandra (Wayne) King.

Patricia was also a cherished grandmother to her grandchildren, Jody (Walt Jr.) Fournier, Loran Giles, Brian (Jaime) Hislop, Stacey Liberty, Tony Yelle (Marky Laporte), Michelle Trost, Brandy Liberty, and Josh (Alyssa) Liberty; many great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson who she loved dearly; as well as several nieces and nephews. The bonds they forged with Patricia were rooted in mutual affection, laughter, and a lifetime of shared experiences.

As the seasons change and nature awakens anew, Patricia will be laid to rest through a heartfelt inurnment in the spring at St. Augustine's Cemetery in Peru, NY.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Patricia's niece, Debbie Stanley, and her special friend, Jane Baughn, for their unwavering support and companionship throughout her life's journey. Their kindness and compassion brought comfort and solace to Patricia and her loved ones.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to St. Jude's or a charity of your choice. Patricia's philanthropic heart was always eager to uplift others, making these donations a meaningful way to honor her memory and continue her legacy of compassion and care.

Patricia Rose Stone will forever be remembered as a remarkable woman who embraced life with passion and infused every moment with love and joy. May her spirit continue to inspire us all to live our lives to the fullest and cherish the bonds of family and friendship.
