Russell Garrow

May 6, 1986 — June 22, 2025

Russell James Garrow left us unexpectedly on June 22, 2025, at the age of 39. He was born May 6, 1986, in Plattsburgh, NY to Christopher and Pamela (Booth) Garrow.

He was known for his willingness to help anyone in need, always greeting people with a warm smile and an inviting heart. His positive energy was infectious, and he had a remarkable way of making everyone feel valued and appreciated.

Russell found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved being a father to his little girl beyond all else. He had a passion for the great outdoors and loved to go hiking and fishing. His adventurous spirit took him on countless off-grid camping excursions, where he would immerse himself in nature, appreciating every moment imprinting every sunset and sunrise to his memory he could. Music was another cherished part of his life; he enjoyed playing the guitar and was always eager to share his love of classic and Texas country music with those around him. He also was in the process of learning how to become a semi-professional forging hobbyist in his shop in his spare time.

He also was a big fan of Waylon Jennings and definitely George Jones for other classic and Texas artist Cody Johnson, Cody Jinx and many more. Brantley Gilbert (rock country)(rock) Shinedown and Sully from Godsmack (rock) for frequent more modern music he always had on repeat. He also loved spoken word poetry written by RJ Hammond amongst others and it was a big part of his most recent days.

Russell's greatest treasures were his daughter, family and friends. He is survived by his daughter Skyler Garrow, wife Kristin Garrow, parents Christopher and Pamela (Booth) Garrow, brother Trevor, his sister Vanessa, his in-laws Tyler and Debbie Spooner, grandmother Nancy Garrow, brother and sister-in-law Stanley and Michelle Spooner, Tyler Matias, Victoreea Matias, Michelle Douglas, Stanley Spooner and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his grandparents James & Barbara Booth, his grandfather Russell Garrow, aunts and uncles; Francis and Barbara Gero, Sandy and Peter Cassavaugh, Thelma Williams, and James Booth, III, Jaremy Spooner.
