William Raymond Dadds, Jr., passed away on Thursday, November 17th, 2022, at the age of 62 in Plattsburgh after complications from an illness.
William was the youngest son of Violet (Mason) Irwin & Raymond Dadds Sr. He was born in Baltimore Maryland. The family moved to Wilmington, NY where William spent his youth known to his friends & family as "Little Ray". He spent time camping in the beautiful Adirondack Mountains as well as snowmobiling, gathering with friends & family for bon fires & other activities.
A graduate from Lake Placid HS, he later obtained his CDL certification for truck driving. He later worked as a passenger transporter for casinos in MS.
He lived for some time in Staten Island & Virginia Beach where he married & had two sons.
William loved living in the South of Mississippi for the past 30 plus years where he spent time working on his property & creating shelter buildings for storage & chickens. He also spent some years doing maintenance & setting up for events at his Baptist Church. William enjoyed collecting things and had collected coins, pics, and various items, etc. He enjoyed going to storage unit auctions as well as flea markets.
He is survived by his mother Violet (Mason) Irwin; two sons, Jessie Dadds & Rickie Dadds; Siblings, William (Bill) & (Diane) Dadds, Robert (Bob) Dadds, Larry Dadds, & Deanna (Dee) & ( Jim) Murray as well as several nieces & nephews.
He was predeceased by his father, William Raymond Dadds Sr. as well as Grandparents, Aunts & Uncles.
In Lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Williams memory to your local animal shelter. ( He loved his dogs very much & supported a shelter with a monthly gift) or The American Diabetes Association @ https:// www.diabetes.org/diabetes/donation.
A graveside service will take place on Wednesday, November 23rd, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Haselton Cemetery in Wilmington, NY. Family & friends can share condolences at www.hzfuneralhome.com
